- WHAT INTERCESSION MEANS
Saved To The Uttermost by Bishop Keith A. Butler
Wherefore he is able also to save [heal, preserve, make whole] them to the uttermost [fully and completely-in every realm: spirit, soul and body] that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
When you are saved to the uttermost, your spirit man is whole, as is your soul, mind, will, emotions, and body. When you have been saved to the uttermost, there is nothing about you that is not healed and preserved.
Jesus ever liveth to make intercession. An intercessor is one who stands in the middle between two, the greater and the lesser. Jesus stands between God the Father, the greater, and man, the lesser. The word intercession means to entreat. When you pray to God the Father in Jesus’ authority, Jesus, the High Priest, takes your request and petitions the Father. When the prayer request is put forward, God the Father sees Jesus: the blood, the sacrifice. He sees the One that paid the price for you, and as a result, He sees you as completely innocent.
Prayer for Today
Father, you are worthy of my praise, my honor, and my obedience. I bow down in gratitude for saving me-my whole being-to the uttermost. Thank you for seeing me through the sacrifice of your Son. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
